28 Jun Carrier® Evergreen® 23XRV with Foxfire® Compression Technology Surpasses Industry Efficiency Standard by Up to 44 Percent

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Mar. 19, 2012 — Carrier’s Evergreen® 23XRV has surpassed industry standards for energy efficiency, now offering Integrated Part Load Values (IPLV) as low as 0.299 kW/Ton, which exceeds the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) 90.1 efficiency standards by up to 44 percent. The award-winning water-cooled, variable-speed screw chiller is available with non-ozone depleting HFC-134a refrigerant and Foxfire compression technology, making it one of the most efficient, reliable and durable chillers in the industry. Evergreen 23XRV water-cooled chillers are available in several configurations to meet the needs of diverse job sites, including the CE Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) in Europe. The units are supported by Revit® Building Information Modeling (BIM) drawings to help engineers and architects in more accurate design, construction planning and fabrication.
Carrier Evergreen chillers are also the industry’s first full series of seismic-compliant chillers. They conform to International Building Code and ASCE 7 seismic qualification requirements in concurrence with ICC ES AC156 Acceptance Criteria.
